To rid the Hauraki Gulf Marine park of bottom trawling, scallop dredging and all mobile bottom contact fishing methods, we need to enlist as much of the public’s support as we can. We need to pressure the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries, David Parker, to make the right decision.

We do this by gathering as many public submissions and petition signatures calling for the ban as we can.

Here’s how you can help:

Have your say on the future of the Hauraki Gulf.

Fisheries New Zealand officials have presented their plan and if you stay silent, nothing will change. We need you to act now.

The Hauraki Gulf Marine Park Fisheries Plan has been released for public consultation with submissions due to Fisheries New Zealand by 3rd March.
